Responsibilities
- Assess patient health needs, develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments according to hospital protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patients' conditions continuously and make immediate decisions regarding needed interventions.
- Document patient care services in medical records and clinical notes in an accurate and timely manner.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to coordinate optimal patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and care instructions.
- Respond to code blue and emergency situations swiftly and effectively.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred (New grads welcome for immediate hire programs).
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume hospital environment.
