Responsibilities
- Assess Patient Needs: Conduct thorough physical assessments and patient evaluations to develop individualized care plans.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer prescribed medications and treatments while monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Collaborative Care: Work closely with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.
- Vital Monitoring: Continuously monitor patient vital signs and neurological status, alerting the medical team to any changes.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with HIPAA standards.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to code blue situations and medical emergencies within the unit.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of Ohio.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred; new graduates encouraged to apply.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients and staff.
- Technical Proficiency: Comfortable with electronic medical records (EMR) and medical equipment.
