Responsibilities
- Assess patient health needs, develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team and patients.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and symptoms to detect changes in health status, reporting any abnormalities immediately.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary staff to ensure comprehensive and continuous patient care.
- Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and their families regarding diagnoses and treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care, including charting and electronic health records (EHR).
- Respond promptly to emergency situations, utilizing critical thinking and rapid assessment skills.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) License issued by the State of Texas.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or medical setting (Med-Surg, ICU, or ER preferred).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced, urgent care environment.
- Commitment to HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality standards.
- Valid Texas Driverβs License (for facility access if required).
