Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in assigned clinical areas with compassion and clinical excellence
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders with precise documentation
- Assess patient conditions and respond rapidly to changes in vital signs or acuity
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA, OSHA, and hospital safety protocols
- Supervise LVNs/CNAs and provide mentorship to nursing staff
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and process enhancement projects
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the State of Texas (or compact license)
- BSN degree preferred (ADN accepted with 2+ years experience)
- Minimum 1 year of acute care nursing experience (ER, ICU, Med-Surg)
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Excellent communication abilities with patients, families, and colleagues
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts including nights/holidays
- Electronic health record proficiency (Epic preferred)
