Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established medical protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patient vital signs and response to treatment, documenting all changes accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Provide direct patient care, including assisting with daily living activities and maintaining patient hygiene.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and code situations within the unit.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the State of California.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume healthcare environment.
- Commitment to patient-centered care and HIPAA compliance.
