Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality direct patient care in assigned units (ER, ICU, Med-Surg, etc.)
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders with precision
- Monitor and document patient vital signs and condition changes
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Educate patients and families on health conditions and discharge protocols
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Adhere to all JCAHO, OSHA, and hospital policies/procedures
Qualifications
- Active RN license in good standing with the Texas Board of Nursing
- BSN degree required (ADN candidates with 2+ years experience considered)
- BLS and ACLS certifications (required within 30 days of hire)
- Minimum 1 year of acute care nursing experience
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Epic EHR system preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
