Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in emergency, ICU, or medical-surgical units during weekend shifts
- Administer medications, treatments, and diagnostic procedures with precision
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to changes in condition
- Document all patient interactions and care activities in electronic health records
- Educate patients and families on health conditions and discharge protocols
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Wisconsin (or compact state)
- BSN degree preferred; ADN candidates with 3+ years experience considered
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum 2 years recent acute care experience
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
- Ability to work independently in fast-paced weekend environments
- Flexibility to rotate between units as needed
