Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in emergency and critical care units
- Administer medications and treatments per physician protocols
- Monitor patient vital signs and document electronic health records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams
- Ensure compliance with JCAHO and DC health regulations
- Respond to rapid response codes and emergency situations
- Mentor junior staff and maintain clinical excellence
Qualifications
- Active DC nursing license (RN)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- BSN preferred (ADN with 3+ years experience considered)
- 2+ years acute care weekend shift experience
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- EMR proficiency (Epic preferred)
- Ability to work independently in high-pressure situations
