Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care including assessment, medication administration, and treatment implementation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop and execute individualized care plans
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond to emergent situations with rapid intervention
- Document patient progress accurately and maintain comprehensive electronic health records
- Provide patient and family education regarding health conditions and treatment protocols
- Supervise LPNs and CNAs, ensuring quality care standards are consistently met
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and weekend shift-specific care protocols
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of Indiana (or compact license)
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong assessment skills and clinical judgment abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and make critical decisions during weekend coverage
- Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs and department priorities
