Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care across diverse medical units including ER, Med-Surg, and ICU
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders with precise documentation
- Assess patient conditions and implement emergency interventions when needed
- Coordinate care plans with multidisciplinary teams including physicians and specialists
- Maintain accurate electronic health records in Epic EMR system
- Precept and mentor new nursing staff during weekend rotations
- Participate in weekend quality improvement initiatives and patient safety protocols
Qualifications
- Active Missouri RN license with no disciplinary actions
- BSN degree (ADN candidates with 3+ years experience considered)
- BLS and ACLS certifications (PALS preferred)
- Minimum 2 years acute care nursing experience
- Strong critical thinking and rapid assessment skills
- Proficiency in Epic EMR and point-of-care technology
- Ability to work independently and make autonomous decisions
- Excellent communication skills with patients, families, and colleagues
