Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient assessment, monitoring, and care documentation for assigned weekend patient load
- Administer medications, treatments, and emergency interventions with precision and compassion
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Maintain strict compliance with JCAHO standards and hospital protocols
- Lead rapid response team activations during weekend shifts
- Mentor new staff and participate in weekend shift quality improvement initiatives
- Ensure accurate handover procedures between shifts for seamless continuity of care
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas (TX RN license required)
- BSN degree (ADN candidates with 3+ years experience considered)
- Minimum 2 years acute care nursing experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
- Strong weekend shift availability (Saturday/Sunday)
- Electronic Health Records (EHR) proficiency
- Experience with telehealth and remote monitoring systems
- Excellent critical thinking and emergency response skills
