Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients across various departments during weekend shifts
- Administer medications, treatments, and perform diagnostic procedures per physician orders
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Monitor patient conditions and respond promptly to changes in health status
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in electronic health records
- Mentor junior staff and ensure adherence to hospital policies and safety protocols
- Participate in weekend shift huddles and quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Valid California RN license (required)
- BSN degree preferred; associate degree candidates with experience considered
- Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience
- ACLS/BLS certifications (required)
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced weekend environment
- Experience with electronic health records (EPIC preferred)
- Commitment to weekend shift availability (Sat/Sun 7a-7p)
