Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in acute care settings with precision and compassion
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders with meticulous attention to detail
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Document patient assessments and interventions accurately in electronic health records
- Respond promptly to emergency situations with critical thinking skills
- Mentor junior staff and ensure compliance with JCAHO standards
Qualifications
- Active Virginia RN license in good standing
- BSN preferred; ADN candidates with 2+ years experience considered
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years acute care nursing experience
- Demonstrated expertise in patient assessment and medication administration
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts with strong decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
