Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans in accordance with nursing standards.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and timely while monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient continuity of care.
- Document patient care activities, vital signs, and clinical outcomes in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Provide education and support to patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment, and post-discharge care.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and code blue activations during the shift.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Indiana.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- CPR/BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS certifications preferred.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull patients and equipment as necessary.
