Responsibilities
- Assess the physical, psychological, and social needs of patients and develop appropriate care plans.
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures in strict accordance with established protocols.
- Monitor patient responses to care and intervene immediately in emergency situations.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare team members.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of patient assessments and care interventions.
- Educate patients and families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and post-discharge care.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for all patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of California.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting, preferably in a hospital environment, is preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated proficiency in computerized charting systems and electronic health records (EHR).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced weekend shift environment.
