Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and triage upon admission and throughout the shift.
- Administer medications, treatments, and intravenous therapies as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patient vital signs and response to treatments, escalating concerns immediately.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals.
- Document all patient interactions, care plans, and outcomes accurately in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Provide patient and family education regarding care plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment in accordance with hospital safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Arizona State Board of Nursing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
