Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered care during weekends, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to changes in condition or emergency situations.
- Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner using electronic health records (EHR).
- Educate patients and families on disease processes, medication management, and post-discharge care instructions.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Oklahoma.
- ACLS and BLS certifications required; PALS preferred for pediatric units.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred, but new graduates with strong clinical rotations are encouraged to apply.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate demeanor toward patients and families.
- Flexibility to work rotating weekend shifts (Friday, Saturday, Sunday).
