Responsibilities
- Assess patient health issues and needs, developing and implementing comprehensive care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with hospital protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and clinical status, reporting any changes to the appropriate medical staff immediately.
- Provide direct patient care and education to patients and their families regarding treatment plans.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for all patients and visitors.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered RN License issued by the Texas Board of Nursing.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Commitment to adhering to hospital policies and safety standards.
