Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient care in accordance with evidence-based practices and hospital protocols
- Assess, monitor, and document patient vital signs, symptoms, and treatment responses
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and specialized treatments with precision
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Provide patient and family education on health conditions and discharge planning
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Respond to emergency situations with calm professionalism and rapid intervention
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Louisiana (or compact state)
- BSN degree required (MSN preferred for leadership roles)
- 2+ years of acute care experience in relevant specialty
- BLS and ACLS certifications required (PALS, TNCC preferred)
- Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment skills
- Excellent communication and patient advocacy abilities
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Commitment to continuous professional development
