Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate patient care and accurate nursing assessments.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and clinical status, reporting any significant changes immediately.
- Document patient care plans, progress notes, and clinical updates in the electronic health record (EHR) accurately and timely.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement effective patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, medication management, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment in accordance with infection control standards and OSHA regulations.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Maryland.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of professional nursing experience preferred.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is required.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) and computerized documentation systems.
