Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate patient care and perform initial patient assessments.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Document patient responses, maintain accurate medical records, and update care plans.
- Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team, including physicians and therapists.
- Teach patients and their families about health conditions, medication management, and preventative care.
- Monitor vital signs and report any significant changes or emergencies to the nursing supervisor immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for all patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Pennsylvania.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or medical setting preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
