Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection procedures in clinical settings
- Process and transport specimens while maintaining chain-of-custody protocols
- Conduct remote patient scheduling and electronic health record updates
- Ensure HIPAA compliance for all digital documentation
- Train patients on pre-test preparation procedures
- Collaborate with lab teams via telehealth platforms for quality assurance
- Maintain inventory of collection supplies through remote inventory systems
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP or equivalent)
- 1+ years clinical phlebotomy experience
- Proficiency with telehealth platforms and EHR systems
- Valid Texas driver's license with reliable transportation
- Exceptional communication skills for virtual patient interactions
- Ability to work independently during remote shifts
- Basic knowledge of CLIA and OSHA compliance standards
- Spanish bilingual proficiency preferred
