Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms with sterile equipment and instruments
- Assist surgeons during procedures with precise instrument handling
- Maintain sterile fields and enforce aseptic protocols
- Coordinate with remote surgical teams via telemedicine platforms
- Document surgical cases accurately in electronic health records
- Manage inventory and sterilization of surgical equipment
- Participate in continuous process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years of operating room experience
- Proficiency with telemedicine platforms and remote monitoring tools
- Strong knowledge of sterile processing standards (AAMI/ANSI)
- Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision
- BLS/CPR certification
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
