Responsibilities
- Coordinate sterile instrument preparation and inventory management via our virtual platform
- Conduct pre-operative assessments and patient education through telehealth interfaces
- Assist surgeons with procedural documentation and supply ordering systems
- Maintain compliance with OSHA and AORN standards in remote operations
- Collaborate with surgical teams using real-time communication tools
- Monitor equipment functionality and troubleshoot technical issues remotely
- Participate in virtual case reviews and quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent credential required
- Minimum 2 years operating room experience with general surgery focus
- Proficiency in telehealth platforms and electronic health records (EHR)
- Strong understanding of sterile processing protocols and supply chain logistics
- Excellent communication skills for virtual team collaboration
- Ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of accuracy
- Troubleshooting skills for surgical equipment and virtual systems
- Current BLS certification
