Responsibilities
- Provide virtual patient intake and preliminary assessment via telehealth systems
- Assist providers with remote clinical documentation and EHR management
- Coordinate patient scheduling and follow-up communications
- Process insurance verifications and billing documentation remotely
- Monitor patient vitals and medication adherence through digital platforms
- Facilitate secure video consultations between patients and healthcare teams
- Maintain HIPAA compliance in all digital communications and records
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Proficiency with telehealth platforms (Zoom, Doxy, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of EHR systems (Epic, Cerner preferred)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Texas state license to practice as a Medical Assistant
