Responsibilities
- Conduct virtual patient intake and health history assessments via telehealth platform
- Assist physicians with electronic health record documentation and coding
- Coordinate patient care plans and medication reconciliation remotely
- Perform administrative tasks including scheduling and insurance verification
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive care coordination
- Maintain HIPAA compliance in all virtual interactions
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in ambulatory care setting
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic, Cerner, or similar)
- Strong telehealth platform experience (Doxy.me, Teladoc, etc.)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- California state medical assistant certification
- BLS/CPR certification
- Ability to work independently in remote environment
