Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, vitals checks, and initial assessments via secure video conferencing platforms.
- Assist physicians and healthcare providers during virtual consultations.
- Schedule appointments, manage patient inquiries, and coordinate referrals.
- Maintain and update Electronic Health Records (EHR) with high accuracy.
- Communicate test results and follow-up instructions to patients in a clear and empathetic manner.
- Ensure compliance with all HIPAA regulations and office protocols.
Qualifications
- Current CMA, RMA, or equivalent certification (New York State preferred).
- Valid New York State Medical Assistant license.
- Proven experience with EMR/EHR systems (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth, Cerner).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and telehealth software.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- High school diploma or GED required.
