Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end medical billing cycle, including claim submission, follow-up, and payment posting.
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits prior to services rendered to minimize denials.
- Review and resolve denied claims and appeals to ensure maximum revenue capture.
- Maintain accurate patient statements and handle collections within compliance guidelines.
- Collaborate with the healthcare providers to resolve coding discrepancies and documentation issues.
- Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and internal compliance protocols.
Qualifications
- CPC, RHIT, RHIA, or CPC-A certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in medical billing and claims processing.
- Strong working knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding guidelines.
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems (Epic, Athenahealth, or similar).
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting with high productivity.
