Responsibilities
- Accurately verify and prepare prescriptions for dispensing to patients, ensuring all orders meet legal and safety standards.
- Input patient and medication information into the pharmacy management system with high precision and speed.
- Communicate effectively with insurance companies to resolve coverage issues and obtain prior authorizations.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure pharmaceutical supplies are stocked and organized efficiently.
- Assist pharmacists in the compounding and packaging of medications.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients via phone and email, answering inquiries regarding medications and refills.
- Ensure strict compliance with all state and federal regulations, including HIPAA privacy standards.
Qualifications
- Current certification as a Pharmacy Technician (PTCB or ExCPT) required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is mandatory.
- Strong computer literacy and proficiency with pharmacy software systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting with minimal supervision.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on patient safety and accuracy.
- Must reside within the United States and be available to work core business hours.
