Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense medications following prescription orders and safety protocols
- Manage prescription inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stock rotation
- Process insurance claims and resolve billing discrepancies efficiently
- Provide exceptional telepharmacy customer service to patients and healthcare providers
- Maintain precise electronic health records and documentation systems
- Collaborate with pharmacists to optimize medication therapy outcomes
- Ensure compliance with all state pharmacy board regulations and HIPAA guidelines
Qualifications
- Active California Pharmacy Technician license in good standing
- Minimum 1 year of pharmacy technician experience
- Proficiency in pharmacy software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell) and EMR systems
- Strong attention to detail and medication safety knowledge
- Excellent communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with remote teams
- High-speed internet connection and dedicated home workspace
- CPR certification preferred
