Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Verify patient information and insurance details for prescription fulfillment
- Provide exceptional telepharmacy consultations to patients regarding medication usage and side effects
- Maintain precise electronic health records (EHR) and inventory management systems
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve medication discrepancies
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA, FDA, and state pharmacy regulations
- Train and mentor new pharmacy technicians on remote protocols
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active California Pharmacy Technician license (PhT) required
- Minimum 2 years of pharmacy experience in retail or institutional settings
- Proficiency in pharmacy software (e.g., Omnicell, QS/1) and EHR systems
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to empathetically address patient concerns
- Strong attention to detail with proven accuracy in medication dispensing
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a virtual team
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential preferred
- Experience with telehealth platforms and remote work technology
