Responsibilities
- Perform accurate venipuncture and capillary blood collections following OSHA and CLIA guidelines
- Process and transport specimens to laboratories maintaining chain of custody protocols
- Conduct virtual patient consultations for pre-collection instructions
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation
- Train patients on self-collection procedures for remote testing
- Collaborate with lab teams to resolve specimen discrepancies
- Ensure equipment calibration and quality control compliance
Qualifications
- Active California Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) certification required
- Minimum 2 years clinical phlebotomy experience
- Proficiency in telehealth platforms and specimen tracking systems
- Excellent communication skills for virtual patient interactions
- BLS/CPR certification and HIPAA compliance knowledge
- Ability to travel 1-2 days/week to Los Angeles collection sites
- Experience with pediatric and geriatric patient populations
