Job Description
We are looking for a visionary Senior 2026 Release Engineer to lead the architectural planning and deployment of our upcoming flagship release. At Apex Horizon Systems, we are redefining the infrastructure landscape, and the 2026 initiative is our most ambitious leap forward. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the scalability, security, and stability of our core systems as we scale to meet global demand.
You will work closely with product managers, developers, and security teams to design a resilient release pipeline that supports rapid iteration without compromising system integrity. This is a high-visibility position for a hands-on engineer who thrives in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of the 2026 Release infrastructure, ensuring 99.99% uptime and minimal downtime.
- Architect and maintain advanced CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, and Kubernetes.
- Drive the adoption of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Ansible to manage cloud resources.
- Collaborate with cross-functional squads to identify bottlenecks in the delivery lifecycle and implement automation solutions.
- Establish and enforce best practices for code quality, security compliance, and operational excellence.
- Monitor system health and performance metrics, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the technical roadmap for the engineering department.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Release Engineering.
- Deep expertise in containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration.
- Strong proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Go, or Bash.
- Extensive experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Proven track record of managing large-scale deployments and complex release cycles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with security compliance frameworks (SOC2, HIPAA) is a plus.
