Responsibilities
- Architect and implement robust 2D gameplay mechanics, including physics, collision detection, and state management systems.
- Optimize rendering pipelines and sprite rendering to ensure 60fps performance across mobile and desktop platforms.
- Collaborate closely with artists and designers to translate high-fidelity concepts into optimized, performant code.
- Debug complex technical issues and refactor existing codebases to improve scalability and maintainability.
- Integrate third-party 2D libraries and APIs to enhance gameplay features.
- Mentor junior developers and conduct code reviews to uphold high engineering standards.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience in 2D game development.
- Proficient in C# (Unity) or C++ (Unreal Engine) with a strong understanding of OOP principles.
- Deep knowledge of 2D graphics APIs, including OpenGL ES, Vulkan, or Direct3D.
- Strong understanding of pixel art workflows, sprite optimization, and shader programming.
- Proven experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
- Portfolio demonstrating at least two shipped 2D titles or significant playable prototypes.
