Are you a creative technologist obsessed with pixel-perfect 2D graphics? Apex Digital is seeking a Senior 2D Interactive Developer to lead our creative engineering team. You will bridge the gap between high-end design and fluid, performant code, building immersive web experiences that captivate users and drive engagement.
In this role, you will push the boundaries of the HTML5 Canvas and WebGL, ensuring our interactive campaigns look stunning across all devices and browsers.
Responsibilities
- Design & Develop: Spearhead the creation of high-performance 2D interactive graphics using HTML5 Canvas, WebGL, and SVG technologies.
- Performance Optimization: Analyze and optimize rendering pipelines to ensure 60fps animations on a wide range of devices.
- Collaboration: Partner closely with UX/UI designers and product managers to translate complex design concepts into robust, scalable code.
- Technical Leadership: Mentor junior developers, establish coding standards, and conduct code reviews to maintain high-quality deliverables.
- Integration: Seamlessly integrate 2D interactions into existing marketing stacks and CMS platforms.
- Debugging: Troubleshoot complex rendering issues and cross-browser compatibility problems with precision.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in front-end development, with a strong focus on 2D graphics and animation.
- Technical Skills: Deep expertise in JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, and modern CSS frameworks (Tailwind, SASS).
- Graphics Libraries: Proficiency in WebGL (Three.js, Babylon.js) or 2D libraries (Pixi.js, Phaser, or native Canvas API).
- Tools: Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and performance profiling tools (Chrome DevTools, Lighthouse).
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with a track record of solving complex technical challenges.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Graphic Design, or a related field is preferred.
