Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to seniors to improve their quality of life.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and assist with meal prep.
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry duties to maintain a safe living environment.
- Administer medication and remind clients to take their prescriptions at scheduled times.
- Monitor client health status and report any changes or concerns to the Registered Nurse or Care Manager immediately.
- Transport clients to medical appointments, grocery shopping, and social outings.
Qualifications
- Current CNA or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification is preferred but not required for the right candidate.
- Valid California Driver’s License and reliable personal transportation.
- Must pass a background check, drug screening, and a health assessment.
- Excellent communication skills and a patient, empathetic demeanor.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods.
- Basic computer skills for documentation purposes.
