The Role:
As a Senior Engineer on the 2026 Strategic Initiative, you will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of our core system upgrades. You will collaborate directly with the CTO and product leadership to ensure our technical stack is future-proof for the demands of 2026 and beyond.
Responsibilities
- Architect and implement scalable backend services designed to handle high-throughput transaction loads in 2026.
- Lead the migration strategy for legacy systems to a microservices architecture, ensuring zero downtime during the transition.
- Define and enforce coding standards and best practices for the engineering team.
- Conduct deep-dive technical reviews and code audits to ensure security and performance optimization.
- Act as the technical liaison between product management and engineering teams to translate business goals into technical realities.
- Identify potential risks in the technical roadmap and propose proactive mitigation strategies.
- Drive the adoption of emerging technologies relevant to the 2026 release cycle.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years of professional software engineering experience with a focus on backend development.
- Deep expertise in Python, Go, or Rust.
- Proven track record of leading teams through major architectural overhauls.
- Familiarity with cloud-native technologies (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Experience with distributed systems, message queues, and real-time data processing.
- Strong understanding of database design, including SQL and NoSQL technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to mentor junior developers.
