Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning initiatives to identify emerging technologies and paradigm shifts
- Develop and publish forward-looking strategic frameworks for C-suite decision-making
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops to co-create future scenarios with stakeholders
- Establish quantitative models to forecast market disruptions and adoption curves
- Represent the company at global futurist conferences and thought leadership forums
- Mentor junior futurists and build a world-class foresight methodology
- Collaborate with R&D to translate foresight into actionable innovation pipelines
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Technology Forecasting, or related field
- 10+ years experience in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or R&D leadership
- Proven track record of publishing trend analysis and scenario planning frameworks
- Expertise in systems thinking, complex adaptive systems, and causal modeling
- Deep knowledge of exponential technologies (AI, quantum, synthetic biology)
- Exceptional communication skills with executive presence
- Certification in futures methodologies (e.g., CFS, CFSP) preferred
- Portfolio demonstrating real-world impact from foresight initiatives
