This role demands intellectual curiosity, strategic foresight, and the ability to communicate complex futures compellingly to diverse stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging technologies (quantum computing, AGI, climate tech) and societal trends to forecast 2026+ scenarios
- Develop strategic roadmaps for product innovation and market positioning based on future projections
- Lead scenario-planning workshops with executive teams and key industry partners
- Author high-impact foresight reports and trend briefings for investors and board members
- Partner with R&D to prototype future-facing solutions aligned with long-term vision
- Establish FutureWorks as thought leader through keynote speaking and white papers
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in innovation strategy, R&D leadership, or futurist consulting
- Proven track record of translating foresight into commercial opportunities
- Deep expertise in exponential technologies (AI, biotech, quantum computing)
- Exceptional storytelling skills for complex future scenarios
- Experience with scenario planning and horizon scanning methodologies
- Portfolio of published foresight work or strategic frameworks
