Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning and trend analysis across technology, society, economics, and geopolitics to identify disruptive opportunities for 2026+
- Develop long-term innovation roadmaps and strategic scenarios to guide organizational decision-making
- Collaborate with R&D teams to translate foresight insights into breakthrough product concepts
- Deliver executive briefings and stakeholder presentations on future implications and strategic recommendations
- Establish cross-functional innovation ecosystems and partner with global thought leaders
- Quantify market potential and ROI for emerging technologies and business models
- Author thought leadership publications and represent the organization at industry forums
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, Technology Management, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in innovation strategy, consulting, or R&D with demonstrable impact on organizational futures
- Proven expertise in horizon scanning, scenario planning, and trend analysis methodologies
- Deep knowledge of emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech, etc.) and their societal implications
- Exceptional ability to synthesize complex data into compelling narratives and actionable strategies
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and influencing executive decision-making
- Strong publication record in foresight or innovation thought leadership
