Responsibilities
- Lead multi-disciplinary research on emerging technologies (quantum computing, AGI, neurotech) with 5+ year horizon planning
- Develop strategic roadmaps for technology integration across healthcare, finance, and manufacturing sectors
- Present future scenarios to C-suite executives and board members using data-driven modeling
- Partner with product teams to incubate 2026-vetted innovations from prototype to market
- Author white papers and influence policy discussions on ethical technology deployment
- Manage a $5M innovation budget with ROI-focused resource allocation
- Mentor junior futurists in horizon scanning and trend analysis methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or Futures Studies with 10+ years experience
- Proven track record publishing in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals on emerging tech
- Expertise in at least two of: quantum algorithms, neural-symbolic AI, or synthetic biology
- Experience with Foresight methodologies (Delphi, Horizon Scanning, Scenario Planning)
- Portfolio demonstrating technology strategy implementation with measurable impact
- Clearances for DoD/defense technology projects preferred
- Proficiency in Python, R, and simulation tools for modeling future systems
