Responsibilities
- Accurately code and submit medical claims to insurance companies following HIPAA guidelines
- Manage denial resolution and appeals processes with 95% first-pass rate
- Conduct thorough insurance verification and pre-authorization coordination
- Generate monthly revenue reports and identify process improvement opportunities
- Maintain compliance with CMS regulations and payer-specific requirements
- Train junior billers on coding best practices and system navigation
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with commercial and government payers
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification required
- Proficiency in Epic, NextGen, or similar EHR systems
- Expert knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding guidelines
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently in a remote-friendly environment
