Responsibilities
- Oversee the complete medical billing process, from claim submission to payment collection.
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and accurately code medical records using ICD-10 and CPT guidelines.
- Analyze denied and rejected claims to identify trends and implement corrective actions.
- Communicate effectively with patients, insurance providers, and healthcare staff regarding billing inquiries.
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and internal financial policies.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in medical billing or medical coding.
- CPC, COC, or RHIT certification preferred.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner.
- Strong knowledge of government and private insurance reimbursement processes.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
