Responsibilities
- Accurately code and submit medical claims to insurance companies using ICD-10 and CPT standards
- Review and resolve claim denials/rejections through systematic analysis
- Manage patient accounts receivables and follow up on outstanding balances
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and payer regulations
- Collaborate with clinical teams to verify documentation accuracy
- Generate monthly reports on billing metrics and revenue trends
- Maintain updated knowledge of coding guidelines and payer policies
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a clinical setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification required
