Responsibilities
- Process and submit clean claims to insurance companies with 98% accuracy
- Conduct thorough claim denials analysis and appeals preparation
- Manage complex insurance verifications and authorizations
- Reconcile accounts receivable and resolve payment discrepancies
- Stay updated on CMS regulations, HIPAA compliance, and coding updates
- Collaborate with physicians and coding teams for documentation improvement
- Generate monthly revenue cycle reports for leadership review
Qualifications
- 5+ years of medical billing experience in a hospital or large clinic setting
- Advanced knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC credentials required
- Expertise in Epic, Centricity, or NextGen EHR systems
- Proven track record of reducing denial rates below 3%
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and data visualization
- Experience with Medicaid/Medicare and commercial insurance contracts
- Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or related field preferred
