Responsibilities
- Dispense and verify prescription medications with 100% accuracy
- Manage inventory control and ordering of pharmaceutical supplies
- Provide exceptional patient counseling on medication usage and side effects
- Process insurance claims and third-party billing efficiently
- Maintain HIPAA-compliant patient records and documentation
- Collaborate with pharmacists on clinical services and medication therapy management
- Train and mentor junior pharmacy technicians
Qualifications
- Active PTCB certification (CPhT) required
- Minimum 2 years of retail/hospital pharmacy experience
- Texas Pharmacy Technician license in good standing
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Strong knowledge of prescription drug interactions and safety protocols
- Excellent communication skills with ability to educate patients
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Pass background check and drug screening
