Responsibilities
- Accurately compound and dispense prescription medications following established protocols
- Manage inventory control systems and ordering processes to prevent stockouts
- Provide exceptional patient consultation on medication usage and side effects
- Utilize advanced pharmacy software for prescription verification and documentation
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and DEA regulations
- Train and mentor junior pharmacy technicians
- Collaborate with pharmacists on complex medication therapy plans
Qualifications
- Current Oregon Pharmacy Technician license required
- Minimum 3 years hospital or specialty pharmacy experience
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential preferred
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., Omnicell, QS/1)
