Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense and verify medications in accordance with state and federal regulations
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, receiving, and compounding sterile preparations
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and pharmacy documentation
- Collaborate with pharmacists on medication therapy management
- Train and mentor junior pharmacy technicians
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain strict patient confidentiality
Qualifications
- Current Colorado Pharmacy Technician license required
- Minimum 2 years of hospital pharmacy experience
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential preferred
- Strong knowledge of sterile compounding and IV admixtures
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., Omnicell, Cerner)
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment
