Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Pharmacy Technician to assist our licensed pharmacists in dispensing prescription medications and providing medication therapy management support.
Responsibilities
- Verify the accuracy of prescriptions and prepare medication for dispensing.
- Manage inventory levels, including ordering, receiving, and stocking pharmaceutical supplies.
- Assist patients with insurance verification and medication questions.
- Prepare sterile compounding solutions as directed by the pharmacist.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with HIPAA and state regulations.
- Process returns, exchanges, and refunds efficiently.
Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or Pharmacy Technician certification required (PTCB/ExCPT).
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and drug interactions.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail.
