Responsibilities
- Perform complex venipuncture and capillary blood draws across diverse patient populations
- Process and transport specimens with strict adherence to CLIA/CAP protocols
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and specimen tracking systems
- Train junior phlebotomists on advanced techniques and patient interaction protocols
- Implement infection control measures and OSHA safety standards
- Collaborate with laboratory and nursing staff for seamless patient care workflows
Qualifications
- Current Arizona Phlebotomy Technician certification (required)
- Minimum 3 years of clinical phlebotomy experience
- Expertise in pediatric, geriatric, and difficult-access venipuncture
- Proficiency with LIS systems and specimen processing automation
- BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association)
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional patient communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in high-volume outpatient settings
